Inclusion and diversity
We are committed to promoting
an inclusive workplace, where all
people feel respected and valued,
and embracing the benefits of diversity.
To achieve this, we con琀椀nue to operate under the guidance of our
Inclusion & Diversity Policy. We set meaningful and measurable
inclusion and diversity objec琀椀ves, and we assess and publicly
report our progress against them. In addi琀椀on, we uphold a policy
of non-discrimina琀椀on in all aspects of employment, irrespec琀椀ve
of race, religion, disability, gender, gender iden琀椀ty, pregnancy,
childcare responsibili琀椀es, sexual orienta琀椀on, or age.
In 2023, we conducted a barrier assessment, focusing on
advancing inclusion and diversity: enhance female par琀椀cipa琀椀on
in the workforce; increase female representa琀椀on in leadership
roles; and improve cultural competency. This ini琀椀a琀椀ve has
led to completed ac琀椀ons and remains an ongoing priority,
with con琀椀nued discussion via our workforce-led InDiVisible
working group.

new ligh琀椀ng was installed at Golden Grove to ensure all
employees feel safe walking around at night;
female toilet facili琀椀es were installed underground at both
sites and sanitary disposal units are available in all female
accommoda琀椀on rooms;
o昀昀ering female employees at Golden Grove the opportunity
to be sponsored for par琀椀cipa琀椀on in the Women in Mining
WA Mentoring program, resul琀椀ng in two par琀椀cipants being
accepted;
celebra琀椀ng the Interna琀椀onal Women In Mining Day and Annual
Women in Engineering Day; and
procurement of Pride 昀氀ags for both sites. Pending installa琀椀on
of an addi琀椀onal 昀氀agpole at Capricorn Copper, these 昀氀ags
will be 昀氀own as a symbol of diversity support.

Notably, there has been a greater than 10% year-on-year
increase in the number of women in superintendent roles or
higher at 29Metals.

Network (‘WIMnet’), and sponsors social events through
this network, which in 2023 included two WIMnet events in
Queensland, sponsoring tables at the WIMnet Victoria Annual
Lunch, and sponsoring and a琀琀ending the Mt Isa Interna琀椀onal
Men’s Day event in 2023;

Josh Moran, General Manager Opera琀椀ons at Capricorn
Copper, par琀椀cipated as a panellist at the 2023 Women in
Mining Summit held in Brisbane, with the panel discussing
ways to work together to drive posi琀椀ve change including:
҄ the importance of the en琀椀re workforce, including men,
truly understanding the issues, that women in mining face;
҄ why diversity alone isn’t enough;
҄ how men can advocate for an equitable and safe work
environment for women; crea琀椀ng accountability and
driving change; and
Bobbie Hart (pictured below), a member of our Human
Resources team, was awarded the Regional Diversity and
Inclusion Prize at the Woman in Mining and Resources
Queensland event in Mt Isa.
