Guidelines and procedures for health
and hygiene monitoring are in place
at Capricorn Copper and Golden
Grove, defining requirements such
as occupational exposure limits,
monitoring programs, instrument
calibration and action/records
management.
29Metals conducts hygiene monitoring in its opera琀椀onal
high-risk areas to determine the e昀昀ec琀椀veness of risk
reduc琀椀on controls.
Upon detec琀椀ng an exceedance, the sta昀昀 working in that area are
promptly no琀椀昀椀ed. Subsequent inves琀椀ga琀椀ons are conducted to
iden琀椀fy the source and any opportuni琀椀es for improvement.
The use of PPE is compulsory for personnel performing work
in high-risk areas. These personnel undergo speci昀椀c training to
enhance their pro昀椀ciency in managing exposure to poten琀椀ally
hazardous atmospheric condi琀椀ons and to understand the
importance of protec琀椀ve controls (such as PPE).
Table 2 outlines the hygiene monitoring exceedances recorded
at 29Metals’ opera琀椀ons in the Repor琀椀ng Period (and the prior
corresponding period).
Due to the Extreme Weather Event at Capricorn Copper16
and cessa琀椀on of opera琀椀ons, hygiene monitoring was only
undertaken in Q4.

the bene昀椀t of PPE to reduce exposure.
